DS-2

Distortion, Overdrive

Image Not Available

The DS-2 features twin Turbo modes. Turbo Mode I produces warm and mellow distortion with flat frequency response. Turbo Mode II provides biting distortion with a mid-range boost that's great for leads. The built-in remote jack allows you to connect an external footswitch such as the FS-5L for instant, hands-free switching between modes.

I this pedal for punk and grunge only, don't try to play blues or metal with it. But if you play grunge the sound couldn't be better, perfect nirvana sound.the sound is realy good. I've tried this baby in other amps, and the louder the better. Frusciante uses one of this too, so it's pretty good to play chili peppers stuff too, like around the world and the solo of i could have lied. The mode 1 is perfect to get that nevermind sound, like in bloom and smells, I play with the gain knob at 9 or 10 o'clock, if you turn the gain all the way up you'll get some feedback, but thats pretty good. With mode 2 you get some in utero sounds, just like tourrets. Turn it all the way up and it's perfect for noise jams, pretty cool.
